Darn. I just took my cat in for her tooth cleaning and I realied too late I needed Pet insurance.  It costs so much money, and she’s an older cat, so it needs to be done regularly.  Because they have to put her under anesthesia, it’s a very costly thing, more so than getting my own teeth cleaned.

This company: Embrace: it provides different quotes for policies and they are catered to you.  The one thing is, they do provide accident only policies for older animals.  That’s understandable, and if you have older animals, you can also go to PetSmart and purchase a policey there from the Banfield hospital.  However, some people want an accident only policy for their loved pet.  This is because they can probably afford the smaller things, but what happens when it becomes several thousand dollars?

It does require entering your email address to get the quote, and that is their way of verifying interested consumers and not someone just filling out a form.  You again, should and can use your junk email address and not your pesonal one.

I definitely will carry insurance on my pet from here on out.  I still will end up saving money if anything happens.  And a smaller investment for preventing future catastrophies is definitely for me.

With so many people turning over the age of sixty-five (65), Medicare Insurance has become quite a topic of discussion.  With both my parents and my grandmother being in that age, I’ve started to do research on this topic and have gotten more familiar with the eligibility requirements.

There are two open enrollment phases: November 1-31 for Part D coverage (Prescription) and through March 31 for Medicare Advantage (more comprehensive coverage, not supplimental, like regular health insurance).

Other than that, the only eligible parties are:

1.       Person turning age 65

2.       Newly retired (age 65 but retired)

3.       Moved- need to change medicare coverage

4.       Shopping supplement plans (Part A, B, and C)

Most important, because Medicare is a difficult insurance to understand, finding the fit for pricing and plans is hard.  Along with that, it’s important to have an agent and insurance company you can trust.  I actually have a friend (being me) who works at this company and have referred my grandmother to them! I’m happy to say, I’m glad, MedicareSolutions is taking care of her!
